About Land Pooling Conference
Existing legislations in Delhi Development Authority (DDA) are unable to provide land for housing and development purposes. DDA in well thought plan has adopted policy for assembling and pooling of land at the state level to augment burgeoning demand under Master Plan Delhi 2021 (MPD 2021). MoUD on 05 September 2013 announced LPP to augment availability of land for creation of the necessary real estate, especially the housing for general public, including housing for Economically Weaker Society.
Broadly, Scheme provides mechanism for land owners and developers owning certain size of agriculture land in specific notified areas to hand over the land to DDA and in return get certain %age of ‘developed land’ having infrastructure like road network, markets, parks, schools, hospitals, commercial and institutional areas and other allied facilities such as electricity, water supply sewage in terms of Delhi Master Plan 2021. Similar polices have been experimented before in many states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and so on and also overseas and now it is Delhi which has followed the same path.
Is Delhi ready for makeover? Will a common citizen get housing at affordable price? How will land mass owners in R Zone, developers, infrastructure providers, service providers and DDA converge to deliver a workable solution under the Policy to create Smart Delhi? These are some of the questions that come to one’s mind.
DDA has adopted very proactive role in the whole exercise in educating the general public about the Policy and addressing concerns of the stakeholders. The Conference aims toonce again discuss issues associated with the land pooling policy of DDA and to interact with authors of policy. The conference will be attended by Eminent speakers and participants from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Civic Agencies, Developers, Real Estate Companies, Investors, HNI, Consulting Organizations, NGOs, Corporates and academia dealing in housing and & urban development issues. Participants will also have the opportunity to share experiences of other states where such polices are being implemented and listening to experts drawn from infrastructure and consulting fraternity.
The Conference will provide an excellent opportunity for developers, investors, corporative societies, businessmen, policy makers and researchers to know about potential of land pooling /readjustments and to discuss practical aspects of policy implementation.
